50 an hour The Winder Assist Step 1 has the qualifications and business acumen to learn winder operation support by setting up and monitoring the rewinder machine to ensure efficient production.
Duties & Responsibilities Arrive on time, prepared, and motivated to contribute.
Learn winder operation support responsibilities under production supervision.
Learn proper forklift safety and get certified in forklift operation.
Learn proper crane safety and get certified in crane operation.
Perform daily cleaning responsibilities to uphold Glatfelter quality standards such as performing metal sweeps, sweeping dust, and removing waste.
Assist with monthly Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO) shutdowns.
Participate in product changeovers.
Perform additional tasks proposed by the Winder Operators, Shift Supervisor, or Process Technician.
Learn how to use OptiVision to perform job functions.
Make the proper precautions to perform work responsibilities in a safe manner.
Learn and abide by Glatfelter Mount Holly standards.
Maintain a close working relationship with the Winder Operators, Shift Supervisor(s), Machine Manager, Human Resource Manager, Process Engineers, and Maintenance Managers.
Education/Experience High School diploma or equivalent required 1 year manufacturing experience preferred Previous forklift operation preferred Competencies Ability to read and take units of measurements for weight, volume, distance, etc.
Competent in computer abilities Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible 12-hour shifts following a 14-day pattern of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and then 3 off Job Type:
