Day Porter
DAYPORT ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
1.
Restock, as necessary, all restroom supplies:
hand towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, and feminine hygiene products.
Supplies are to be checked four times a day in all assigned restrooms.
2.
Spot clean restrooms as needed:
floors, walls, partitions, toilets, urinals, lavatories, mirrors, and dispensing equipment.
3.
Pick up trash as necessary.
4.
Spot clean common areas as needed:
carpet, non-carpeted floors, baseboards, walls, mirrors, glass, drinking fountains, cigarette ash receptacles, trash containers, etc.
Common areas are to be checked each time a floor is entered, and all floors should be checked at least twice per day.
5.
Police break areas, exterior grounds, and parking decks.
6.
Spot clean elevators as needed:
floors, walls, doors.
7.
Clean/wash the loading dock.
8.
Set up tables and chairs as requested.
9.
Note items needing special attention:
dead plugs, lights out, etc.
, and contact the supervisor immediately or as soon as possible.
10.
Return all cleaning supplies to the janitor's closet, refill items as needed, make sure all cleaning supplies are labeled, and leave the janitor's closet clean, neat, and orderly.
11.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
Ability to interact with customers, follow instructions, understand and remember instructions, and work without supervision.

WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts such as vacuums, power sprayers, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level is usually moderate.
